Cette sphalérite présente une particularité intéressante. Elle est d'un beau jaune orangé sous UV longs. Plus on rapproche ce spécimen de la source UV, plus la couleur se modifie. Progressivement un bleu ciel un peu parme apparaît et se substitue à l'orangé (sur les bords principalement). On a l'impression qu'elle se "charge". Si elle est exposée à une certaine distance du tube, on ne s'aperçoit pas forcément de ce phénomène. Elle a aussi une belle phosphorescence bleue.

This sphalerite is very special under UV light. The color is a nice yellow-orange under long-wave, but as the distance between the UV light and the specimen gets smaller, the color changes. Slowly the orange color becomes sky blue, but mainly at the edges of the specimens. It is as if the specimen was charging itself. If the distance between the specimen and the UV light is too great, this special reaction can easily be overlooked. The phosphorescence is a nice blue.
